Medium to large fruit size. Bright orange rind color changing to deep orange/red later in the season. Fruit shape is often oval or oblong with a tapered navel end. Similar in appearance to Navelina, but with a tendency to more variable fruit shape. Matures up to four weeks ahead of Washington navel. Medium to high juice content with good early season flavor, but lacking the rich flavor of Washington navel. Newhall fruit often have a large internal navel.
